Overview:
The 20th Indian Infantry Division was advancing from the area of the Saddle between Ukhrul and the important road junction at Finch’s Corner. During this drive, the 14 Frontier Rifles occupied Sausage Hill. The Japanese 51st Infantry Regiment launched its second counterattack against the Indians. The Indians defended Sausage Hill tenaciously against an attack consisting of two determined Japanese infantry companies who employed both flamethrowers and incendiary grenades. Japanese mountain guns and trench mortars supported the attack with heavy fire.Attacker: Japanese (Elements I/51st Infantry Regt., 15th Division)
Defender: Indian (Elements 14th Frontier Rifles, 100th Infantry Bde, 20th Indian Infantry Division)

2024-01-27 | (D) Shane Pask | vs | Nathan Brown | Indian win | Cancon 2024 - Round 3. Both of us messed up our setup by forgetting jungle is 2 high. Lost the west ridge but the east ridge held firm. Japanese artillery not a factor - mortar malfed early and never repaired, INF gun destroyed by MTR CH.

2020-12-26 | (A) Maurizio Mai | vs | Fabio Mazzucchelli | Indian win | Played in PBM. As Japanese I put the GUNs so to hit the 2nd level of the two hills. The plan was to clean the first hill with the FT and then assault the second one. The ordnance fire was pretty useless during the whole scenario, while the FT and the squad was KIA before it was ever used. Without it the game was over pretty soon. Too many foxholes, scenario seems little pro-Indian but nice and enjoyable.
