Overview:
The town of Szack had been occupied by the Soviet 52nd Rifle Division, supported by a number of T-26 and T-28 tanks. Units of the Polish Border Protection Corps (Korpus Ochrony Pogranicza, or KOP), commanded by General Wilhelm Orlik-Rückemann, quickly closed on Szack, occupying the woods line west of town. Rückemann's corps was able to bait the Soviet armor into an ill-advised attack. Polish anti-tank and infantry guns quickly destroyed dozens of Soviet tanks, forcing them to retreat into Szack. Hoping to further boost morale, the Polish commander ordered a counterattack.Attacker: Polish (Korpus Ochrony Pogranicza)

2025-03-22 | (D) Simon Staniforth | vs | DC | Polish win | It’s always a good game when it comes down to the last CC and the Poles had 3 of them to take a final VC building which they duly did. I just hadn’t inflicted enough damage on them through the game so they had plenty of options with squads and half squads for that final turn rush. Feels well balanced and would happily play again as either side
2025-03-08 | (D) Craig Houliston | vs | Rhea Wessendorf | Russian win | 3.5 hrs | Was Russian vs. two opponents who split the Polish OB. Attackers advanced broadly seeking to pivot to eventual cracks in defensive line. Defenders were cautious, skulking where necessary and taking selective shots. They slowly broke Poles such that the attack bogged down. T26’s FTRed a couple squads, soaked up MG fire, and blocked the attackers. The Russians gently withdrew, pivoting to a line making Polish victory difficult. They called off the attack in turn 5.
