Overview:

In 1920, the Poles seized Kiev, deep in the Ukraine. They were then dramatically routed by the Cossack cavalry, and Poland's future hung in the balance. Bolshevik expansionists attacked into Poland. At a crossroads east of Lwow, a group of volunteers and veterans of the Great War were waiting to be relieved by Regular Army troops during a lull in the fighting. The next day an advance column of Soviet troops approached. The men of the relief force raced down the wooded road towards the sound of gunfire. . .
