Overview:
On 13 July 1941, in Italian-occupied Montenegro, Montenegrin separatist Dekula Drljevic proclaimed an Independent State of Montenegro. A nationwide rebellion escalated by Partisans, Yugoslav Royal officer and various other armed personnel. It was the first organized armed uprising in then occupied Europe and involved 32,000 people. Most of Montenegro was quickly liberated, except major cities where Italian forces were well fortified.Attacker: Partisan (Montenegro Partisans)
