Overview:
Communist forces under Mao Zedong waged a costly guerilla war against the Japanese. The Eighth Route Army was one of their main fighting forces. In the village of Qihui, it took the Japanese army head-on. The fierce two-day battle was marked by street fighting and hand-to-hand combat.
CCs became the winning feature for the Iron Army. Securing several ambushes the Red Chinese were able to surprise and eliminate enough Japanese forces to take the win. It was fun to do a Human Wave and launch a berserk attack with a Dare Death Squad, both were very effective.
