Overview:
The Soviets breached the Finnish defenses of the Viipuri-Kuparsaari-Taipale (VKT) Line at the village of Tali. They exploited this success y driving the Finns off from the important Portinhoikka crossroads. In the early morning of the 26th, Jaeger Battalion 3 was ordered to retake the VKT Line. A company of assault guns and a lone Sotka tank were to support the attack, which stepped off at dawn.Attacker: Finnish (Jaeger Battalion 3 and 2nd Company, Assault Gun Battalion)

2025-02-12 | (D) Kevin Duval | vs | Dwayne Duval | D | Russian win | Russian OBA played a big part in securing the win once the Finns reached boards 17/42, with help from the reinforcement AFVs making lucky (and spectacular) Wreckage of the Finnish group.
2024-09-02 | (D) David Garvin | vs | Nick Faryna | Russian win | My ISU 152 could not miss nor did it go to low ammo until much later in the game. It knocked out several of Nick's tanks, and withstood all hits against it until a brave Finn half-squad got close enough to take it out with a Panzerfaust.
2024-01-24 | (A) M T | vs | V.K. | Finnish win | The Russian position collapsed on Finnish Turn 6 and the game was effectively over. We discussed the game afterwards and felt that losing the HMG and the 9-2 Leader early on to a 75L CH shot had perhaps a game changing impact on the scenario. The Finns also did have some trouble with the Russian armor at first, but eventually knocked out both of the starting tanks. We did think however that this is a fun scenario - the Russians need to hold on against overwhelming force for a long time, so they need to execute a skillful fighting withdrawal. From the Finnish side it's a good exercise in combined arms tactics - lots of armour with a good amount of infantry, a lot to do but also a lot of time to get it done.
