Overview:
The roadblocks along the Wiltz road had not been established in vain. Even the disaster at Wardin bought time for the 101st Airborne to move into position around Bastogne. Just as Lt. Colonel Roy Inman's 2nd Battalion of the 327th Glider Infantry Regiment was relieving some engineers in the village of Marvie, a platoon of German tanks, led by a single Jagdpanzer, began shelling the town and engaging Team O'Hara's light tanks. At 1100, a company of panzergrenadiers in halftracks, came barreling out of the woods right into the town and almost on top of Inman's glider men.Attacker: German (Panzergrenadier-Lehr-Regiment 901, Panzer-Lehr-Division)
Defender: American (Company E, 327th Glider Regiment; Team O'Hara, CCB, 10th Armored Division)

2023-08-27 | (A) Ron Garcia | vs | Darryl M. | German win | I played as the Germans and I didn't feel good about this scenario. SSR 3 and 4 seemed like a recipe for disaster for the Germans. I kind of gamed that rule and loaded the three Pz IV's with three HS and turned their turrets in strategic locations. It worked in that none of the HS's failed their bail out MC's. I unloaded the other squads near the closest buildings I could find since there is no CS. My friend set up pretty spread out to cover logical areas of advance. I also entered spread out hoping to find the wild card in the scenario, the HIP 37LL AT Gun. It was a bit forward in 65 K6 which luckily one of my HS found before my tanks were set to move past it. I quickly swarmed it and took the crew out in CC. I was able to take out two of the tanks quickly with the other two about to be dispatched in the next player turn (one had a malfunctioned gun due to a failed IF shot so I parked a Mk. IV next to it, and the other was six hexes away from the JgdPz with a -2 acquisition on it). The real damage was done with two(ish) lucky shots early in the game. A concealed US 8-1 and a bazooka toting HS made a run for the center of the playing area. I took a free LOS check and nailed them with snakes on a -2 shot. The second was during the next turn when the US 9-1 and a bazooka toting 667 ran up to try and take out the 75* halftrack. Two(!) CH's in a row killed the leader and broke the squad (both survived the first CH). With only one leader left, no tank support to speak of, and one BAZ, my friend's PMC failed and he called it early. Can't say that I blame him. He wasn't diced, I just made great rolls when I really needed them. Still, I think this scenario heavily favors the Americans. A too aggressive German player will pay dearly with all those loaded halftracks.
2022-12-18 | (D) Don Nordloff | vs | Don Petros | German win | American first line held well, but my Stuarts were too aggressive so I lost them all. Germans took the requisite building locations on the final turn.
