Overview:

The French Army sent only some cavalry units to slow the enemy advance between Sedan and Liege. The French 1st Light Cavalry Division (1ére DLC) found it hard to cooperate with the Belgian Chasseurs d’ Ardennais and unable to inform the High Command of the enemy. On May 10th, the 1ére DLC came into contact with the vanguard of the 7th Panzer Division. Rommel’s division had no intention of marking time before such a feeble enemy. Nevertheless, the French fought bitterly, and at the day’s end, Lt. Col. De Lannurien decided to retake the village of Marloie in order to make contact once more with the 4ére DLC on his left flank.
Attacker: French (5e Regiment de Dragons Portes and the 1er Regiment d'Automitrailleuses)

2025-12-02(A) Owen Edwards vs French win7 hrsI played this with my son alongside (he made some decisions for the Germans) and we had a great time. The French initially struggled to break into the village due to the strong forward positions of the Germans, with machine guns in the multi-hex and the rowhouses at the bottom end of the village and the two Panzers comfortably beating off the French tincans. However, with the forward positions taken and the Panzers just held off, the French got up to the church, and though the Germans did manage to cause casualties with their reinforcements, they were operating at a disadvantage within the village. Losing their reinforcing Pz38 to the French armoured cars on the flank was also unfortunate! Germans are just a little outnumbered here I think.
2025-07-28(D) Jobbo Fett vs Rob W. French winAn interesting scenario, but one where the balance does nothing to really help the Germans. Tough decisions must be made to safeguard the front, and early losses should be expected if the French vehicles survive to get adjacent (or simply cheese the entire scenario with sleeze freeze).

In my case, I put up a hard fought resistance for the first few turns up until the French vehicles accosted my troops and I failed multiple needed eliminations - in return capitulating as my force never quite managed to pass morale checks.
2024-04-14(A) Richard Jenulis vs Tycho Granville German winI took the 7 buildings, but couldn't hold them. Tycho's defense was solid.
2015-06-18(A) Will Willow vs C. Casten French winTT
2013-10-08(D) Gordon Jupp vs Mark Pitcavage German winASLOK 2013

Mark agreed to play this one off of my playlist and then I did the dirty on him and had some outrageous dice! First turn I took out one of the AMR's with an MG shot and then during the game I created no less than 2 leaders and a Hero! Even so I thought it was close, especially when I was very careless and lost one of my reinforcement squads as it moved on but the French had been sufficiently weaked to mean that it was nigh on impossible for them to win and Mark threw in the towel...
