Overview:
Pushing on to Alexeyevka, the Russian 15th Tank Corps seized the town and succeeded in insolating both the German 2nd Army and the Hungarian 2nd Army. Brigadier General Ferene Horváth, commanding the Hungarian 1st Armored Field Division sent his few remaining panzers and Nimrods to restore the situation and reestablish communications between the two armies.
