Overview:
Following the main landings at Empress Augusta Bay on November 1, the Marines of the 3rd Marine Division & 3rd Raider Battalion were ordered to push inland to expand the perimeter and establish a jumping off point for the eventual assault on the ridgelines inland where IJA artillery was dug in and shelling the beachhead. The only way of proceeding inland was along the few native trails running into the interior. Whoever controlled the trails would have the upper hand in the coming campaign, and the race for both sides was on.Attacker: Japanese (Elements of the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 6th Infantry Division)
Defender: American (USMC) (Elements of the 3rd Marine Raider Battalion and the 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment)

2020-02-21 | (A) Jeff B | vs | Robert Loper | American (USMC) win | 5.75 hrs | Save yourself 6 hours and roll a die to determine the winner; that's how much I thought of this scenario. A brutal series of Turn 5 MCs (3 boxcars in 6 rolls) cost me the game.
2014-03-01 | (A) nathan wegener | vs | Brian W | American (USMC) win | Very dicey as it depends entirely on CC results. Played decently but was utterly slaughtered in the first set of CC's. No point in playing second half of scenario.

2010-07-31 | (D) Ian Willey | vs | MacRob | American (USMC) win | Great two part scenario. Looks like it will lack manouver but in fact lots of minor moves and suttle thrusts. This deserves a lot of play and is in fact two seporate one night scenario's that dependant on the first game will mold your play of the second. Raited high on the fun scale and good to teach PTO as small playing area |
