Overview:
Kravchenko's 6th Guards Tank Army attacked into the flank of the Sixth Panzer Army to cut off the German's escape route to the west and open the way for the advance to the Hugarian frontier. Elements of the 12th SS Panzer Division occupied the defensive positions in the village of Tés, blocking the Soviets. Faced with being overrun, the SS troops withdrew to the shelter of the high ground west of Tés After regrouping, General Krass ordered a counterattack.to again seize Tés and restore the line. At 1700 German halftracks with triplet 20mm cannon opened preparatory fire on the hill. After four Jagdpanthers joined Brand's halftracks, the first assault went up the slope of the hill.Attacker: German (SS) (26th SS Panzergrenadier Regt, 12th SS Panzer Division Hitler Jugend and Schwere Panzerjager Abteilung 560)

2024-08-23 | (D) Simon Staniforth | vs | MB | Russian win | The Germans had secured 20 buildings by T6 but with the last half turn the Russians had just enough left to take back a couple of them to secure the win. HTs proved vulnerable to the Russian ATRs / LMGs as they swarmed round the Russian defence. SU-100 only got one shot away (a miss) before the gun malfed but compensated for by one of the SU-76Ms knocking out a Jagdpanther from the rear and then a second one with a CH. A really close game, great fun

2021-06-27 | (D) Ian Morris | vs | Simon Staniforth | Russian win | Opponent conceded on turn 4 realising that he would run out of time. Russians stood and fought to the death. Artillery left after one shoot. A close game.
2021-06-27 | (A) Simon Staniforth | vs | Russian win | I feel less close than my opponent has reported. An effective defence chopped up the attackers very efficiently leaving them with insufficient strength to cross the road and take the final VC buildings
2014-06-26 | (A) Michael Rodgers | vs | Bruno L'Archeveque | German (SS) win | Russian player set up without realizing that the Germans could set up in a level 4 hex. Lost the two T34s early. Lost the SU-100 on turn 2 to a CH AFPh shot. Lots of Russian infantry broke as well, so conceded, although OBA was doing damage. |
