Overview:
To open the badly needed pot of Antwerp, the German gun emplacements on Walcheren Island had to be neutralized. An amphibious assault on the island was required and the job fell to the commandos. The 4th Special Service Brigade was assigned to conduct the initial assault with the 155th Infantry Brigade, 52nd Infantry Division in support. 4 Commando, 4th Special Service Brigade was ordered to take the port of Flushing and to secure a beachhead for the landing of the 155th Infantry Brigade. To carry out their mission, 4 Commando was reinforced with two French troops from the 10 (IA) Commando. No. 6 Troop, 10 (IA) made the landing with only two casualties and they quickly captured their first objective, the post office on Wilhelmina Straat. They then moved to the big crossroads at the dockyard gates: Betje Wolf Plein. Captain Voue'h positioned his men in time to delay an advancing German company heading for the beaches.Attacker: German (Elements 1019th Infantry Regt, 70th Infantry Division)

2020-05-31 | (D) wayne baumber | vs | Graham Smith | British win | Pro British, though our game did go to the last turn, the Germans player would have had to get 3.5 squads and a leader through numerous -2 DF shots to win. In fact Graham got one leader and a squad off only. In the opening turns my sniper was very active potting a 8-1 leader and breaking several squads which did not help the German cause. Solid Infantry only scenario give the balance to the Germans

2013-02-13 | (A) Andy Beaton | vs | Jeremy Brubaker | British win | A nothing special scenario, tough for the Germans to get across the big road. Makes a good learning scenario, though.
