Overview:
Whirlwind Japanese advances in the Pacific and Southeast Asia forced Great Britain to frantically shuffle forces eastward. Units from around the empire made their way to Burma piecemeal. 7th Armoured Brigade, 1st Cameronians, and 1st West Yorks were hastily thrown into battle along the roads leading north to Rangoon. These roads would see heavy fighting over the months of March and April before the trek to the Indian frontier began in earnest. March 1st found 17th Division HQ and 16th Indian Brigade at Hlegu with other strong units strung out along the roads north and south. "Honeys" of the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment, 7th Armoured Brigade on patrol along Waw canal were fired upon by advancing Japanese revealing that the enemy had crossed the canal at various places and in strength.Attacker: British (1st Battalion, The Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) and 2nd Tank Regiment, 7th Armoured Brigade)
Defender: Japanese (Company 4 and MG Company, 1st Battalion, 143rd Infantry Regiment, 55th Infantry Division)

2025-03-09 | (D) Dan Owsen | vs | Will Fleming | British win | 5 hrs | Will’s attack was methodical and he relentlessly advanced even as he took casualties. I made a few dumb set up mistakes, but still manages to kill two of his tanks and force the game to come to the final close combat phase where Will took the last building he needed to win. It could have gone either way with a few different rolls, though I think overall we each got our share of good and bad rolls. Make sure you know the rules for huts before playing this one!
2024-11-25 | (D) Patrick Martin | vs | Japanese win | British took about two turns to get safely across the dry stream, but then got a bit speedy and ended up going into some questionable CCs against concealed Japanese. They actually got lucky and avoided dying to ambushes, but ended up getting broken by fire into melee during the next Japanese PFPh. With a 1:1 squad ratio left after turn 4, and no buildings yet captured, opponent resigned.
