Overview:
While unable to fully dislodge the Soviets from their tenacious hold on the main ferry landings, the Germans were able to push all the way to the Volga in some sectors and capture a number of tall structures that allowed them to directly interdict Russian reinforcements ferrying across the river. Desperate to eliminate this threat, the Soviets launched a coordinated counterattack to push the Germans back.Attacker: Russian (10th NKVD Division and 13th Guards Division with the 10th Tank Brigade)
