Overview:
On 27 December 1941. 120,000 Japanese of the 11th Army advanced southward in three columns to keep Chinese troops from attacking towards Hong Kong. The Japanese columns faced strong resistance from 300,000 Chinese-the initial defenders were pushed aside, but were not crushed and they retreated into the Eastern Mountains. Changsha, which had been captured twice before, was evacuated except for Chinese troops and some 160 civilians who wished to stay to help the defense. On 31 December, the Japanese stormed the southeastern defense of the city, but failed to make any gains. They eventually cut through the first line of defense, only to meet stubborn resistance near the city center.Attacker: Japanese (3rd Division)

Quickly, the Japanese got close enough to launch several Banzai charges helped by the tank that froze some defenders. The Chinese infantry was finally utterly destroyed but Japanese losses were great and there was still several buildings to reach and control. The gun destroyed the tank and caused many losses to the Japanese troops. Last turn, the crew of the gun was finally eliminated and the Japanese stall have enough trrops to reach the target buildings and control them for the win. | |||
