Overview:

The night of 11 May, the British 3rd Infantry Division, under the command of Major-General Bernard Law Montgomery, reached its position on the Dyle River at Louvain. However the Belgian 10ème Division d’Infanterie had arrived the day prior and refused to move, forcing the Montgomery to place his division under the Belgians command, despite knowing that when the German shells began to fall the Belgians would withdraw.

2021-04-24(A) O Ramaille vs Macari Samuel British winThe Germans reinforced by armored cars entered along the Southern road and hit the British hard by knocking down an AT gun and two squads. The British carriers arrived very quickly in reinforcement on turn 2. Their annoying little size prevent the German AC to destroy them. The German infantry dismounted and entered the town in order to hold the British infantry at bay. The other hidden AT guns took out 3 armored cars but were finally silented by German infantry. The carriers were successful in preventing German motorcycles to exit the board (only one HS managed it). The German infantry succeeded in escaping the town trap but several lucky fire strikes from the British infantry prevent them to exit the map. An unexpected British victory finally with 22 to 16 CVP. Reinforcements arriving later on turn 3 or 4 could greatly change the balance toward the Germans.

The British reinforcements arrived very quickly and made it possible to halt the forward march of the attacker. Lots of mechanical losses on both sides and rather unreliable guns ...
2020-10-10(D) Gordon Jupp vs Derek Cox German winDerek was more circumspect with his Motorcycles and Armoured cars in this one and gradually introduced forces whilst probing the defence. Once he had found the ATG's it was all out and he achieved the exit win on T5.

It did not help the British that they could not make a morale check, often failing bad enough to ELR. With not many forces, the British need to defend to the rears trying to protect against the fleeing Germans.
