Overview:
The Russian Army had been bordering the Vistula on its length, holding three bridgeheads on the German side. On the 12th of January, Marshal Koniev unleashed his first Ukrainian Front and cleared the German lines of defense. At mid-day, the first and second lines were breached and Koniev had seized his main axis of penetration. He immediately ordered the introduction of his tank units to exploit the gap in the German lines. The Germans tried a desperate action and immediately counterattacked the lead Soviet units.Attacker: Russian (Elements of the 4th Guards Tank Corps, 3rd Tank Army, 1st Ukrainian Front)
Defender: German (Elements of Schwere Panzerjäger-Kompanie 614, 2 Kompanie of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 616 and 300th StuG Brigade)

2024-09-01 | (A) Dave Mareske | vs | Kermit Mullins | Russian win | A wild tank battle that proved some long range shots against heavy armor does not always protect. The Russians were able to disable all the German big Tigers and destroying most other AFVs to reduce their exit number to 3. We had a PF shot against an IS-2 that did not penetrate...when does that happen, when you have 26 armor! The Germans needed some PFs on the last turn and missed every chance. Fun game with big guns!
2024-03-07 | (A) Paolo Cariolato | vs | Federico Corso | Russian win | Very nice AFV scenario, the wide fields of fire and the different AFV need to be understand and properly used, different AFV have different roles. I was able to sneak 3 AFV out and destroy 8 german ones in the 4th turn, use of SMOKE, overwatching fire was critical in getting the job done. IS are powerful but lacking IF need to word in team in order to be fully effective. this scenario makes you think differently from the usual ones. Reccomended. Played in 3 and half hours.
2022-11-17 | (A) O Ramaille | vs | Jeannot | Russian win | Russian victory with the last CC DR. Despite the loss of a JS-2, the Russians began the game quite well by destroying a lot of German tanks (Sturm and Marder). But the German Elefants showed that they too knew how to aim and little by little it was the Russians who found themselves in difficulty. In the last turn, the pressure was on the Russian side. They still have to exit at least 3 tanks or 2 by destroying a tenth panzer. Of the 4 Russian tanks still able to move, one is destroyed and the other immobilized by changing gear (ESB failed) and only got out by avoiding the shells and FP attempts. Eventually, the bravery of a Russian squad decided the fate of the battle, by climbing onto the back of an Elefant and finish off the monster.
