Overview:
On August 10th, the German 48th Army Corps received orders to break off its southward course and turn over the mission of capturing Nikolaev to the Hungarian Mobile Corps. The Hungarian attack commenced on the morning of the 12th. Despite initial successes, difficulties with communications and a reinforced and reorganized Soviet defense soon stopped the advance. The 13th saw much of the same stubborn resistance, with the encircled Soviets often fighting to the last man. The Hungarian 2nd Motorized Brigade achieved the greatest success this day, breaking through a minefield and capturing Hill 91.Attacker: Hungarian (2nd Motorized Brigade)

Rolled infantry forward and by end of T2 had an array of broken units in OG who slowly low crawled to the woods clump. In T3 One squad made it to building in armoured assault only to lose the second AFV TO A PB MG shot. Down to 3 GO squads at the front I nearly hang it up. But that's when my luck changed. Snakes on the TH of the first tank and lucky random selection breaks his squad who is in melee w one of mine. He advances a conscript in which I promptly capture on another snakes which gens a leader who keeps the prisoners. In my T4 I saunter up beside his MMG in OG and finally pass a MC. T5 sees me taking down his fire base. T6 I encircle his remaining 'scripts who FPF themselves to break for a Russian loss. | ||
