Overview:

The French 55th Infantry division conducted a counter-attack north toward Bulson to stem the German advance. In spite of a lack of 25mm anti-tank guns, 1st Battalion, 213th Infantry Regiment moved north of Maisoncelle and established positions on Hills 278 and 261. 2nd Lt. Penissou led his platoon from 2nd Company forward to Hill 320 to observe German movements at Bulson. The Germans forced French FCM 36 tanks to withdraw out of Bulson toward his position. Eventually, German PzIIIs crept out of the village and up the slopes of Hill 322. Penissou pulled back to alert one of the few 25mm anti-tank gun crews of the imminent German tank assault.

2024-12-18(D) Simon Staniforth vs Mick Allen French winI realised early on that with TK7 vs generally AF3, the FCMs weren’t going to take out many of the German AFVs so a quick revision of strategy - keep them in Motion and make sure you have enough MP to get on a Level 2 hill toward the endgame to fulfil the VC. 60mm Mtr on a Bd3 Lvl 2 hill has some great LOS and I was fortunate with a few ROF tears putting much hurt on the German infantry. Germans unlucky with their B11s as well as a few French kills, they just didn’t have enough functioning MAs at the end to take out the remaining French AFVs
