Overview:
In the bloody ongoing campaign in the Huertgen Forest, the U.S. 28th Division pushed into Vossenack. On November 4th, the 116th Panzer Division was released from reserve and started a series of counterattacks to take back not only Vossenack, but Kommerscheidt and Schmidt was well. On November 6th, the Germans used a strong bombardment to move into attack position right on top of the U.S. troops defending Vossenack.Attacker: German (Kompanien 6 & 7 | Bataillon II | Panzergrenadier Regiment 60 | Panzer Division 116)

2023-11-19 | (D) Andy Bagley | vs | Stuart Brant | Draw | Tried this on Sunday morning at Bounding Fire in Blackpool. Turned out that we didn't have enough time to finish, so agreed it a draw although the Americans were probably slightly better when we called it. Interesting scenario with some close-quarters fighting that swung back and forth. The rules for the church itself however are quite difficult to get to grips with (refers to ABtF cellars, factory in two of the three hexes, steeple in one of them - unclear how you get to it if there is no Level 1 because of factory) and would have been very tricky to play in ftf mode had we got that far. | ||
