Overview:
The Romanian 7th Corps was continuing its advance through eastern Pest. As part of this operation, the Romanian 9th Cavalry Division was tasked with seizing the Ferenc Józef Barracks near Kerespi Road and Hungaria Boulevard. Elements of the Hugarian 1st Tank Division were defending the barracks. The Romanians were met with heavy automatic weapons fire as they approached. Bloody hand-to-hand fighting raged as both sides bitterly struggled for each room of the barracks.Attacker: Romanian (Elements Romanian 9th Cavalry Division)
