Overview:

“They shall not pass” - 1st Canadian Infantry Division was spearheading an attack to gain a lateral road to the Moro River and the village of Casa Berardi had to be secured. The task fell to Captain Paul Triquet’s Company C, supported by Ontario Regiment’s Sherman tanks. Triquet and his men had to fight their way across a gully in the face of intense machinegun and mortar fire. Triquet dashed forward into the hail of enemy fire. Inspired by his intrepid leadership, his men followed and broke though the German positions to the outskirts of Casa Berardi. . .

2020-07-12(D) Dave Mareske vs Dan Best German winAnother fun game with Dan as we rolled a fair number of 2s and 12s sending chaos across the board. Came down to the last moves and the 10-3 heroic leader dashed across the street only to get KIAed by a 1 minus 3 shot. If he had made it to the center building block on board 24, this game would have ended differently. After it was over there were four flaming wrecks and only one German tank remaining with the German infantry holding on to the victory.
2020-06-11(A) Pascal Boileau vs Frédéric Benois German winA tremendous game. During the first 6 turns, the Canadians were unstoppables (with little help of the dice rolls). But the German resilience finally reversed the situation in the last turn and allowed Fred to seize the victory. A very interesting scenario.
