As German forces surged into Poland, the 4th Panzer Division approached Mokra, a hamlet surrounded by forest. Already dismounted and dug-in, Colonel Filipowicz's Wolynian Cavalry Brigade braced for the onslaught. That morning Polish gunners blasted the oncoming enemy with 75mm wz. 02/26 field guns while Polish dragoons fought it out in close quarters using hand grenades.Attacker: German (4th Panzer Division)

A great defense was mired only by having to walk through a lot of woods hexes and being intercepted by the surviving 20L PzIIAs. When the OBA failed to materialize on a large group of Germans, who subsequently broke the Polish defensive position on the left objective, we felt we could call it a night. Requires a lot of planning on the Polish side, and perhaps a central deployment in order to put up a fight on either side. The only downside is the crappy mortars either side gets. | ||
