Overview:
A reinforced battalion of the Japanese 114th Regiment was coming north from Kamaing to attack the east flank of the Chinese 22nd Division at Shaduzup. The 2nd and 3rd Battalions of Merrill’s Marauders were ordered to block this move and so prevent the Japanese from advancing beyond Nphum Ga. This was a new role for the Marauders, who had been trained to attack. A quick and exhausting retreat from Inkangatawag barely got the 5307th into Nphum Ga before the Japanese started their initial attack. The Marauders were not equipped with the tools needed for entrenching, and dug in the best they could using standard issue shovels and anything else they could find. Hoping to catch the Marauders unprepared, the Japanese attacked. . . . .Yet another excellent scenario in the Nhpum Ga series. This scenario sees the Japanese making an all out attempt to penetrate the southern defence of the US force. A large Japanses force, supported by an artillery barrage, enters from off board and must cause serious damage to the US player or exit lots.
