Overview:
On the 18th of January 1942, a battalion of the Japanese 16th Division began infiltrating across the slopes of Mt. Silanganan, where the terrain so rugged and densely forested that I Corps had been unable to form a continuous defensive line. On the 21st, the Japanese force emerged onto the West Road near Kilometer Post 167 and quickly established a strong roadblock position, severing I Corps’ supply route. The first attempt to dislodge them failed. The next morning the Americans counterattacked at both ends of the roadblock.Attacker: Filipino / American (91st Infantry Regiment (PA) / 92nd Infantry Regiment (PA) / C Company, 194th Tank Battalion / 26th Cavalry Regiment (PS))
Defender: Japanese (3rd Battalion, 20th Infantry Regiment)

2020-08-17 | (A) Kevin Duval | vs | Dwayne Duval | Filipino / American win | Used Japanese balance. Traffic management problems never sorted out but over-stacking didn't pose too much trouble with Americans tripping over themselves to reach Japanese pockets.
2016-07-07 | (A) Martí Cabré | vs | Txema Mainez | Filipino / American win | A good scenario, the Japanese don't have many people and must use subterfuge to slow the American advance, who have lots of units and vehicles but the road is so narrow and bounded by mountain and jungle that there is no space to maneuver or to create groups of fire: they must do frontal assaults, rout broken units, bring more units and advance without stopping to destroy all the roadblocks. Txema conceded in the middle game after losing so many troops he felt he could not defend the third roadblock.
2015-03-16 | (A) Shane Pask | vs | Japanese win | Close. Japs had 1 reduced crew surviving but still won as Yanks were unable to clear the roadblocks. 1 was cleared turn 5, the others were captured but could not be cleared in time. |
