Overview:

Preliminary to the main German attack on Medjez, a position known as Fort McGregor had to be seized from British defenders. The forward outpost consisted of an infantry company with its platoons dug in around a bare, rocky knoll, with the entire position surrounded by wire. Since there was practically no natural cover aside from scrub, the Germans decided to make a night assault on the “fort”. . .

2020-04-04(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winThe German bombardment opened multiple holes in my wire and rendered it completely useless in the game that followed. My British gave their all for four turns, but German weight of numbers finally overcame them. The German Sniper took down my 9-1 and a key squad guarding the flank to open up my defense for the final German assault.
2019-03-25(D) Michael Rodgers vs Jackson Kwan German winBombardment created two openings in the wire. This allowed the Germans much opportunity to encircle the British defenders. The British can mostly just sit there and hope to pass their morale checks, although some of my troops fell back slowly towards the summit.
