Early on the second day of Operation PLUNDER, units of 15th (Scottish) Division crossed the unfinished Autobahn to their front. Resistance from scattered German units was light, so a recon section of two armored cars was sent to scout the Royal Scots Fusilliers’ objective, a bridge across the steeply-banked Issel Stream in the vicinity of Loikum. Though contact was the armored cars was lost, a company of Fusilliers was sent towards Loikum around noon to secure the vital bridge – and the surrounding farm buildings – to support the continued advance of 15th Division.
Attacker: British (6th Royal Scots Fusiliers, 44th Infantry Brigade, 15th (Scottish) Infantry Division)
This one boils down to smoke. My tanks didn't run out until late and the 75L SPW only got one damaging hit so I eeked out a win. It easily could have gone very badly otherwise. Jim: My HIP spot for the SdKfz 251/22 was poor and so was my PF shooting. I still had my chances though, too much smoke!

One of the quickest scenarios I’ve ever played, as the Brits exceeded their CVP cap by the end of Turn 2! A buffalo plus passengers fell to a Psk, a Sherman was knocked out by a hit from a well-hidden AT halftrack, and consecutive DRs of 4,3, and 2 took care of infantry trying to cross open ground.
This seems a tough one for the Brits, since all German units are HIP at start. So if the Brits guess wrong as to where the Germans are, and the dice go against them, then it isn’t much fun.

I was probably too tentative with the Roo's and my armor since this is only a 5 turn game.
i unloaded on the hedges near the town and held the Shermans back to put down smoke. One tank lost smoke on the first shot but put a round in the town.
I took the town and got units across the river on turn 4 but hadn't caused any significant casualties or revealed half of the Germans. My Brits were crippled as they tried to come out of the river giving me no chance to meet the VC on turn 5.

Keeping the Shermans in the backfield with a narrow LOS to where I needed to place smoke was the secret to getting the British into the victory zone. It was close, a lot of losses on both sides.

The German SPW was out of play owing to being illegally placed (my opponent didn't tell me after he realized it) and it was still a close win for the British. It came down to a lucky snake eyes killing the German berserkers and putting the British one point over the Germans in personnel points. If the SPW had been there, I'd have probably lost a tank, but even then the Germans didn't come close to the CVP cap.

Nice little scenario - A key roll went bad for the Jerrys but the attack plan was good

A little scenario with very few units for the German, I choose the southern approach behind the hedges and quickly unloaded the Kangaroos and moved to the stream. My tanks first did some area against possible positions and finally broke some infantry in the left. I reached the stream and moved some units to the buildings in the north, that was an error as they were broken and killed and the Germans there counterattacked against the tanks, luckily they found few PF to shoot. Meanwhile my infantry crossed the Issel and fought against the Germans in the buildings in the other side. There were many units breaking with the British numbers finally making it pay. Crossing the stream was the key moment as a good German MG shot there would cost the scenario, but it was not the case.

Fun fast scenario; probably more fun for the British player than for the German. The all HIP setup is ideal for VASL.

The German setup is trickier than it looks. As with any small and short scenario, this one's vulnerable to the dice.
