As German penetrations into the Russian frontier intensified, Soviet commanders were forced to rely heavily upon counterattacks to stem the tide. Northwest Front commander Col-Gen Kusnetsov planned to use his 3rd and 12th Mechanized Corps to attack the flanks of Panzer Group 4 but these moves were interrupted by both German air attacks and a shortage of fuel. Finally, on June 23rd, attacks were executed against Panzer-Divisions 1 and 6. Over the next three days a series of swirling tank battles split the two apart from each other and forced them over to the defensive while a breakthrough by Russian heavy tanks at Rasienai was contained. By the 26th, the Russian attack was spent, and both panzer divisions resumed the offensive with the goal of breaking through Russian lines to re-establish contact with each other.
Attacker: German (Pionier-Abteilung 57 and Panzer-Regiment 11, Panzer-Division 6)
Not enough Germans to do the job. Lost tanks early and hit CVP

Two Russian tanks got recalled after repair attempts, one of the the KV. The T35 managed to score a CH with the 76 (HE) smacking a German tank while another German tank was taken out in a MOL attack. We botched the Russian setup by forgetting that all Russian squads are automatically concealed and the ?-counters can be used solely as dummies. Jacob conceded by T4.

Nice scenario, not least because of that massive Russian T35 tank with its 5 turrets! It was still there at game end but my light tanks and AA Gun failed badly, resulting in the German AFVs and motorcyclists running rings round me.

Great game, Andy's tanks let him down badly tho, plus the loss of the AA gun to boxcars let the German infantry in and it was all over by T4...

A great game decided at the last CC of the last turn. Don plays very well, and at mid game I believe that I'll lost to CVP. I finished only 2 CVP below the cap. A must to play scenario.

A seemingly tough task for the Germans made easier by some bad Russian luck. Turn 1 saw them lose their LMG. Turn 2 saw the concealed land battleship fall to a lucky shot. Turn 3 saw the Russian sniper wake up and wreak havoc to the backline, but Turn 4 was all Germans again as the MMG was lost and two more Russian tanks were downed by lucky shots: one to an LMG, and the KV-1 to a long distance FT. Turn 5 saw the appearance of a hot AA gun, but by the end of the turn he was embroiled in CC, effectively ending the game. Overall a very fun scenario.

Good game, could not overcome a combination of Don's good setup and my lackluster rolls. We had a good laugh over the T35 getting to fire all five of it's turrets in a single fire phase and surviving despite it's weak armor and double large target status. This one can be dicey with the motorcycles and all the armor, but it is fun!

2 G'Tanks Malf'd MA in turn 2 - limiting ability to press the attack. KV got 2 Pz kills and the AA and T-35 one each leaving a lot of work for the infantry. Too much and out on CVP in T3.
